    Today you will explore Milford Sounds stunning fiord from the air and on the water. Upon landing in Milford, join an unforgettable cruise, past sheer cliffs, gushing waterfalls, and perhaps even spot dolphins, seals, and penguins. Enjoy an exhilarating flight past spectacular rivers, valleys, and mountains with blue-green icefall, and land upon Mount Tutoko glacier in the heart of Fiordland National Park. The trip takes approximately four hours and has a maximum group size of six guests. Please noteThe Department Of Conservation recently reduced the number of concession landings on Ngapunatoru ice plateau (Mt Tutoko). Therefore, a glacier landing on Milford Sound flights can no longer be guaranteed. Alpine landings are offered in lieu.

    Depart Queenstown on one of the most beautiful road journeys in New Zealand to the Western end of Lake Wakatipu where the stunning backdrop of Mt Aspiring National Park surrounded by snow-capped mountains lies before you to explore. The world-acclaimed Routeburn Track provides stunning variation in vegetation, birdlife, and topography as it climbs 6.5 km one way, on a moderate fitness trail through gorges and valleys. Walking through ancient Red Beech forest amidst lush ferns lichens and mosses, we follow the turquoise Routeburn River reaching the Flats hut located within a mountain amphitheater. Time to rest up, soak in the natural beauty and enjoy your picnic lunch listening for native birdsong This trail is well-formed and we cater to your level of fitness. The duration of the walk, altitude, and alpine conditions will determine the distance and time we will walk.

  6. Day 6 QUEENSTOWN TO SYDNEY

    Prepare yourself for the thrill and excitement of the ultimate jet boating experience with the world-famous Shotover Jet; it’s a unique, breathtaking white water ride and an adrenaline rush you’ll never forget! From the moment the accelerator hits the floor, your adrenaline hits the roof as you speed in mere inches of water along the famous Shotover River and deep into the spectacular Shotover River Canyons. As the Shotover Canyon walls tower over you, your expert driver puts your ’Big Red’ Jet Boat through the paces and skillfully whips it past rocky outcrops, skims around crags and boulders, and speeds through the dramatic and narrow canyons. Rock faces blur in your peripheral vision and the water sprays into white water crystals with every turn as you speed in your state of the vessel at up to 52 miles per hour over water as shallow as four inches deep. Cruise under the Sydney Harbour Bridge for stunning views of quintessential Sydney sights. Sail into Darling Harbour, past the new vibrant financial and entertainment districts of Cockle Bay and Barangaroo. Continue towards the downtown district before making your way east past Woolloomooloo, Garden Island, Double Bay, Vaucluse, Rose Bay, and up to Point Piper to view Australia’s premier waterfront properties. Cross the harbor and head across to Chowder Bay towards Taronga Zoo before returning to Campbell’s Cove.   8. Day 8 SYDNEY

    Live Like a Local

    Meet your private guide and driver at your hotel to adventure north over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, embarking on a discovery of the famous Northern Beaches. This spectacular surfing hub accounts for the majority of Sydney’s magnificent coastline, featuring 16 stunning beaches between Manly and Palm Beach. Today you’ll visit some of these incredible beaches and great coastal vistas, stopping at Marine Parks, National Parks, and surf clubs along the way. Your first stop is Tania Park, situated atop a National Park and offering magnificent views of Manly, the old Quarantine Station, Sydney Heads, and the Eastern Suburbs. Continue to North Head where you’ll admire Sydney’s famous sandstone cliff faces, learn about its colonial past, maritime history, and links to Aboriginal culture. From here you’ll experience breath-taking views from one of the highest sandstone cliffs overlooking Sydney Heads and the harbor. Continue your journey along the coast via famous Manly Beach, known as a surfer’s paradise, before stopping at Pilu Cafe for morning tea. Pause at one of the famous Australian surf clubs known as Surf Lifesaving before visiting the Long Reef headland, nestled along the Northern Beaches. You’ll depart Long Reef and loop around to a local’s home for a wonderful local lunch to fuel up on an amazing assortment of nibbles including local macadamia’s, local olives, homemade ricotta cheese, and BBQ kangaroo meatballs.   10. Day 10 AYERS ROCK

    Cultural Immersion

    An unforgettable discovery of Kata Tjuta, this early morning adventure heads to the World Heritage-listed site where 36 mighty red rock domes gather in the desert landscape. The group appears mistily on the horizon, glimpsed between desert oaks and spinifex on the approach. In the company of a Longitude 131° guide, learn about the geology and history of the formation, formerly known as The Olgas. The guide leads you through Walpa Gorge, with its towering rock walls and surprising tree-lined creeks and waterholes. From there the tour heads to the Kata Tjuta viewing platform, which offers a step-back view of Kata Tjuta and the chance to capture a panoramic view including Uluru. It’s a magic spot for morning tea, with coffee, tea, and freshly-baked goods on the menu. A visit to the Cultural Centre at Uluru completes a morning of discovery in the Red Centre. Here, learn about the history of the Aboriginal people at Uluru-Kata Tjuta, and about their art and culture.

    In the afternoon, the journey to the base of Uluru to learn about the history of the ancestral Mala people on the Mala Walk. Your guide leads you on a discovery hike along the rocks hiding caves, whose walls reveal ancient Aboriginal artwork. Learn the significance of each ’room’ and the cultural stories that they tell. A meandering pathway takes you through groves of green trees and along boardwalks over spinifex and occasional streams, depending on the weather. At dusk, the tour reaches Kantju Gorge, a giant ‘fold’ among Uluru’s rippling surface. Here, enter a cool reserve lined by trees which leads to a waterhole that the local Aboriginal people use for swimming. As the sun sets, it casts a golden light across the rock faces, striking it a brilliant red against a deep blue sky. Enjoy a moment of reflection at the pool, before sampling canapes and sipping sunset drinks at the Longitude 131° pop-up bar.

  11. Day 11 AYERS ROCK TO CAIRNS TO PORT DOUGLAS

    The Journey Continues…

    Early in the morning – at approximately 6:00 am – you will depart the Dune House and travel towards Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to marvel at the sun as it rises over Uluru. From here, continue to the Mutitjulu Waterhole to admire ancient cave paintings and listen to the mythical tales of the Kuniya and Liru, an aged Tjukurpa story that has captivated audiences for centuries. Shortly after, you will return to the Dune House for a delicious and hearty breakfast.

  12. Day 12 PORT DOUGLAS

    Port Douglas has a lovely cafe culture with many charming spots for breakfast. Whether you are looking for a flat white and croissant or a hearty brunch, there are a wide variety of excellent choices in and around Macrossan Street. Some of our favorites include Little Larder, Hi-Tide, Cafe Freqs, and Cafe Ziva.

    Today you’ll travel through the rich farming areas toward the World Heritage-listed forest region of the Daintree National Park. Step aboard our own personalized craft for a cruise on the mirrored smooth waters of the Daintree River, cruising close to riverbanks and under the overhead canopy of the rain forest seeking out the vivid Ulysses Butterfly, Kingfishers, Pythons, and other wildlife. Once you arrive at the Daintree section of the Wet Tropics World Heritage protected rain forest, your journey then takes you up the beautiful Alexandra Range passing through the local rain forest. Meet your local specialist guide for an informative tour of the Daintree Rain forest. The Grand Fan Palm gallery allows access into the heart of the world’s oldest surviving rain forest. Evolutionary development over 180 million years has created a living museum of rare and primitive flora and fauna. A cathedral-like Amphitheater of towering fan-palms stands in the heart of the forest, protected beneath the canopy of old-growth rain forest giants, and has been a sacred site for generations. You’ll then get to see unusual, exotic fruit originating from all over the globe’s tropical regions at the orchard which is also a host to beautiful species of tropical flowering plants, both native and introduced.
