K2 and Concordia (2021 – 2022) with FlyVour

K2 have been journeying in the Karakoram Mountains of Pakistan since 1984. This is the place where we initially began and a region that we know everything about, it remains as a cherished memory to us.

The trip to Concordia at the foot of K2 (8611) the second most noteworthy top on Earth is an outright work of art. It was the absolute first K2 journey and is seemingly still the best. K2 bunches consistently get an incredible greeting from our companions in Baltistan. The ‘wild west’ town of Skardu is our place of access for the Karakoram Mountains and from here we drive in tough 4WD vehicles to the town of Askole and our first night under canvas.

Journeying into the core of the Karakoram, we consider such to be tops as the Trango Towers, the Cathedral gathering and mighty Masherbrum (first assigned K1 by the overview of India since it seemed, by all accounts, to be the most elevated top in the Karakoram).

Following a few days of traveling on the Baltoro Glacier, we arrive at the intersection of glacial masses known as Concordia. No place else on earth would you be able to stand so near so many of the world’s most noteworthy pinnacles including Broad Peak (8047m), Gasherbrum (8080m) and the tremendous south face of K2 (8611m). We have permitted two evenings at Concordia, with the alternative to visit the climbers’ headquarters for Broad Peak and K2. Accompanied by a K2 Western pioneer and upheld by a nearby aide and journey group drawn from the neighborhood Baltistan individuals, this is experience traveling at its best. This generally acclaimed Karakoram journey is well inside the abilities of sharp slope walkers.

The Karakoram Highway

On this occasion we fly among Islamabad and Skardu. This is a climate subordinate flight and if we can’t fly one or the other way, we will go by street on the marvelous Karakoram Highway. This implies that with KE, you can be certain that you will travel Concordia.
