Across the street, follow along the city’s famous esplanade and keep an eye out for resident pelicans along the seashore. Beyond the resort’s grounds, it is a quick walk to the Cairns Aquarium. Consider having dinner surrounded by aquaria of tropical fish!

  4. Day 4 CAIRNS

    Nurtured by Nature

    Meet your private guide and driver at your hotel before making your way to the train station to board the Kuranda Scenic Railway. This spectacular journey features unsurpassed views of World Heritage-listed rainforest, steep ravines, and picturesque waterfalls within the Barron Gorge National Park. Constructed between 1882 and 1891, the railway is considered an engineering feat of tremendous magnitude. Hundreds of men were employed to build the 15 handmade tunnels and 37 bridges that stand as a monument to the pioneers of tropical North Queensland. Arriving at Kuranda, you’ll visit the local village to enjoy a café lunch before wandering through the colorful arts and crafts market and boutique stores. Continue to a wildlife sanctuary for a very up close and personal experience with a koala where you’ll be able to cuddle the mischievous marsupial and pose for a photo. Afterward, your guide will take you to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, considered one of the world’s most beautiful rainforest experiences. Your gondola trip takes you above the canopy of the scenic national park with stops along the way to visit Red Peak station. A walk down to the forest floor is recommended where boardwalks allow you to view the fern-covered forest floor. Here you’ll experience an exclusive tour of the zoo’s unique Australian animal collection designed especially for the inquisitive traveler. Guided by an official zookeeper, you’ll be introduced to the country’s notably unusual wildlife, posing for photos alongside kangaroos, wallabies, birds, wombats, and echidnas. Upon the completion of your wildlife experience, you’ll make your way to Balmoral Beach for a lunch stop served with a side of amazing panoramic views. Continue onto the seaside town of Manly, considered a must-visit waterfront destination with its famous tree-fringed beachfront.     This unique day is the ultimate way to experience the beauty of Sydney alongside a private, experienced guide. Your guide will meet you at your city hotel for a drive around the historic Rocks precinct, considered the birthplace of Sydney. Meander through the magnificent Royal Botanical Gardens, taking a short walk to view Mrs Macquarie’s chair and excellent views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Your drive continues through Woolloomooloo, Kings Cross and into Rushcutters bay where you’ll stop to enjoy a lunch at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, Australia’s premier yacht club and home to what is considered yachting’sEverest’ – the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. Next, it’s on through Darling Point, one of Sydney’s most affluent suburbs to see some of Sydney’s most sought-after addresses. Pass by scenic bays before traversing along the coastline to Sydney’s beachside Mecca of Bondi Beach. Stroll down the esplanade with the locals, maybe even enjoying an ice cream before re-boarding your vehicle. On return to the city, you’ll arrive at Darling Harbour where your yacht awaits to transport you around Sydney Harbour for a leisurely cruise and delicious afternoon tea. After an incredible 2 hours on the world’s most beautiful harbour, your vessel returns to Darling Harbour. You may choose to stay and enjoy the lively atmosphere here or return to your hotel at your leisure.
