    On arrival in Winnipeg, meet your private driver for a transfer to your hotel today.

    Experience a privately guided tour through Winnipeg, known as the wonderful city of trees. After meeting your private driver-guide at your hotel, set off for the Forks National Historic Site, Winnipeg’s original “meeting place”, to view its unique outdoor and indoor market. Across the new Esplanade Riel Bridge, visit Winnipeg’s French Quarter (St. Boniface) and the beautiful St. Boniface Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in Western Canada. The Cathedral’s cemetery is home to the grave of legendary Louis Riel, the famous Métis leader and founder of Manitoba. Tour through the Exchange District, observing its exceptional collection of terracotta and cut stone architecture. This thriving neighborhood is home to an array of restaurants, nightclubs, art galleries, and Winnipeg’s own theater district. The neighborhood’s cobblestone streets and friendly pedestrian environment also contribute to its popularity as a backdrop for today’s movie industry. Stop and view the Legislative Building, the beautiful homes of Wellington Crescent, and Winnipeg’s 393-acre Assiniboine Park, where you’ll have the opportunity to walk through the unique Leo Mol Sculpture Garden, featuring bronze sculptures, porcelains, paintings, and sketches by celebrated Winnipeg artist Leo Mol. Your tour concludes with a private transfer back to your Winnipeg hotel.

    Meet your driver this morning for a transfer to the airport for your flight to Churchill.

    Enjoy a scenic flight from Winnipeg to Churchill this morning.

    Upon arrival in Churchill, meet your driver for a transfer to Lazy Bear Lodge.

    Along with your guide, explore Churchill and the surrounding area’s various historic sites. Visit historic Cape Merry to learn about the fur trade era in Manitoba and how it shaped the local culture. Walk past the town’s infamous polar bear jail where bears that are considered troublesome are sent for rehabilitation before being released into the wild. Finally, observe the wreckage of the famous plane, ”Miss Piggy” that crashed in 1979. This tour is approximately 2.5 hours in duration.

    Enjoy dinner tonight in the Lazy Bear Cafe.

  3. Day 3 CHURCHILL

    Venture into the Outdoors

    Today, your guide will take you in a customized vessel certified by Transport Canada on an adventure to experience one of the more remote polar bear viewing areas on the west side of Hudson Bay. View polar bears in their summer environment, swimming and walking around the rocks and wildflowers. Weather and wildlife permitting, disembark the boat and walk where polar bears roam.

  4. Day 4 CHURCHILL

    Where the Wild Things Are

    Along the Hudson Bay shoreline, hundreds of beluga whales come to feed, mate and give birth in the warm near-coastal waters. This beluga whaleboat and fort tour provide an unforgettable opportunity to view these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. Watch as they feed on schools of caplin, arctic char, and brook trout in the Hudson Bay area. Next, head ashore for a walking tour of the 250-year-old Prince of Wales Fort to learn about the life of a fur trader in subarctic Canada.

  5. Day 5 CHURCHILL

    Close Encounters

    Spend some time on your own getting acquainted with the grounds and facilities of Lazy Bear Lodge. Choose from a selection of optional activities or simply unwind in the warmth of this authentic timber lodge.

    AquaGliding™ is an adventure that allows you to glide on the Churchill River or the Hudson Bay for the ultimate thrill in aquatic adventures. This
    adrenaline-pumping experience puts you in the center of the action, leading you to thousands of friendly and curious belugas in their natural habitat as you glide along the surface waters. When participating in AquaGliding™, your floating mat will be tethered to a zodiac while in the Churchill River or Hudson Bay. Lay flat and watch in awe as the belugas begin to approach. This activity is perfect for experiencing these majestic creatures up-close and personal.

  6. Day 6 CHURCHILL TO WINNIPEG

    From Sea to Sky

    Today, enjoy a tour of the tundra in one of the lodge’s Arctic Crawlers™ to view the beautiful landscape and various wildlife.

    After checking out of the Lazy Bear Lodge, meet your driver for a transfer to the airport for your flight back to Winnipeg.

    Enjoy a scenic flight back to Winnipeg.

    Upon arrival at Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport, meet your driver for a transfer to Inn at the Forks.
