Archaeological sites
There are three UNESCO World Heritage Sites near Karachi around 90Km drive.
1st: The Chaukhandi Tombs around 30 kilometers east of Karachi were developed between 15th and 18th Century. The Chaukhandi Tombs currently structure a strikingly very much protected necropolis that frequently draws in inquisitive visitors, archeologists and photographers.
2nd: Second UNESCO site in our list is Makli Necropolis further east covering more than 10 sqkm ,is one of the world’s biggest necropolises, going about as the last resting spot of more than a half million individuals, including kings, queens, holy people and researchers. The necropolis rose to significance as an entombment site somewhere in the range of 1352 and 1524, when the Samma Dynasty made Thatta their capital .
3rd: Third one in the list is Shah Jahan Mosque of Thatta built in the rule of Mughal badshah Shah Jahan. The combination of red blocks and blue-hued tiles, the mosque has 93 domes and 33 arches. The establishment of the mosque was laid in the year 1644.
