Must-Have Items while Hiking:
This List contains items and equipment that you must bring while Hiking in Pakistan.
- Thermal rest or any similar mat/pad for sleeping
- Warm hat
- Warm jacket
- Spare laces
- Underwear (normal and thermal)
- Trekking poles (highly recommended)
- Walking socks (2/3 pairs)
- Sun protection cream
- Base layer – leggings (Thermal)
- Trekking Trousers
- Base layer thermal shirts (2 long sleeves, 2 short sleeves)
- Mountaineering equipment
- First Aid Pack (Diamox (Altitude), Dioralite, antiseptic cream, blister treatment, throat lozenges, plasters, Imodium (diarrhea treatment), painkillers)
- Hiking Backpack (Day Pack) 32-42 Liters
- Waterproof jacket
- Waterproof over-trousers
- Antibacterial handwash
- Shirts/T-shirts
- Small towel
- Socks
- Fleece jacket with hood or a warm jumper
- Mittens or gloves
- Headtorch with spare batteries
- Hiking boots
- Sleeping bag (-16°C comfort rated)
- Sandals (sports) or old shoes (to cross rivers)
- Sunglasses
Must-Have Equipment
List 2 includes things for trekking that include crossing a high mountain pass and maybe travelling over snow or ice on a given day.
- Mountaineering boots that must be compatible with your crampons. Minimum Grade B2.
- Crampons
