Lower Duden Waterfall

The place is pretty. It’s very easy to get there and to find it. And it’s a free public park, meaning that you don’t have to wait in line or to buy a ticket. Apart from that, you don’t have to go to one specific place to look at the waterfall. Anywhere to the right (in direction of the old town) will be fine.

The Upper Duden Waterfalls are 15 km outside the city and that is what this post is about. The Upper Duden Waterfalls have been formed in a place where the river has carved out a deep gorge. You can see the falls from above, you can walk in the gorge, and you can even walk in a hidden cave located behind the water cascade.
