Lily Beach Resort & Spa to Host Football Freestyle Camp

The Football World Cup 2022 is just around the corner; the exciting football event will begin in November of this year. To commemorate the World Cup, Lily Beach Resort & Spa is hosting a Football Camp in the Maldives where visitors will be capable of learning some Football Freestyle tricks from the greatest as well as participate in some Football Practice. Marcel Gurk, the multiple Guinness World Record holder for football freestyle, is set to visit the hotel in October of this year. For one week, the German football freestyle star will be leading workshops at the Maldives’ premium all-inclusive resort, as well as basking in Maldivian sunshine and hospitality and living the Lily Beach Life.

During his visit at the Maldives’ leading all-inclusive resort as part of the World Cup Football Camp event, Marcel will offer guests lessons and workshops, as well as share some of his professional tips and tricks. Guests will be able to take advantage of his free 5-day football freestyle clinic as well as request private lessons for a fee. He will also have a 2-day Football Training class that he has specially curated from his many similar camps that he runs all over the world.

During his visit, he will also perform two football freestyle shows for the guests, displaying the best Guinness World Records-worthy tricks. In addition, there’ll be some fun football matches with him and other football fans here on island to not only learn a few tricks but also to get involved and burn some calories after eating all those tasty meals at the resort.

The resort has a lot planned to celebrate the World Cup while you’re there. For example, just on food and beverage front, Lily Beach will be providing some specialized drinks and food of the major World Cup teams for a limited period of time only during this time frame. In addition, guests attending the football event will receive awesome swag such as t-shirts and water bottles, as well as other rewards for winning special games held daily after trainings. 

Face painting will also be available during this time so that guests can show off their favorite team with fun face paint. The resort encourages all guests staying during this time to join in the fun by bringing and proudly wearing a jersey of your favorite World Cup team, as well as bringing a fun costume to wear during the annual Halloween Parade on October 31st. Marcel will also be participating in the Halloween festivities this year by bringing his own unique costume.

Marcel Gurk is the reigning German football freestyle champion, a successful book author, the holder of ten Guinness World Records, and one of the world’s best football freestylers. He reached the semi-finals of ‘Das Supertalent’ and now travels the world as a football freestyler and social media star, thrilling audiences with his incredible tricks.
