Beautiful Islands, Beaches, Villas, and Adventure In Maldives

The Maldives is a fascinating country to visit on your own, especially as it has only been open to tourists for the past decade. Guesthouses are springing up on adjacent islands on a weekly basis, giving travelers an affordable way to see the country.

In many ways, travelling in the Maldives on a budget is preferable to staying in a luxury resort. In the case of the latter, each resort is built on its own island, effectively separating you from the rest of the country and preventing you from interacting with the inhabitants.

As more people arrive in quest of paradise on a budget, the number of guesthouses on some of the more popular islands is growing every year.

Adventure in Maldives

How much does a budget trip to the Maldives cost? It might cost as little as $50 per day. You may anticipate spending $30 per day on a private room in a guesthouse, $10 per day on food, and $10 per day on activities as a budget tourist. However, there are ways to make it even less expensive. In terms of tourism, the Maldives is a relative newcomer. The country’s first resort opened in 1973, and for the following three decades, these expensive island getaways were the only way to visit.

The Maldives was always my dream honeymoon destination for a couple of reasons.

1. It looked like it had the best beaches in the world

2. The resorts were very expensive.
